Target has announced upgrades and a refresh for its private-label home brand Threshold which aims to give guests more accessible pieces to purchase.
As part of the rebrand, there are over 800 new items and more shopping experiences in the physical retail stores and online.
This is part of Target’s multi-year strategy to build a presence within the home goods department and the shopping experiences reflecting modern-day consumers.
Mara Sirhal, SVP, merchandising and home at Target said: “Homes are an extension of our guests’ personalities and sense of style, and Target’s Threshold reinvention makes it easier for everyone to create spaces they’ll love.
“As we’ve refreshed Threshold throughout the year and continue to rebuild our Home business, it’s exciting to see how guests are already responding to the merchandising authority we bring with a range of styles, elevated design, and incredible value.”
The brand currently operates a nearly $3bn valued segment, and Target aims to expand its offerings.
As part of the segment refresh, Target will add improvements across products and aims to better the shopping experience.
There will be redesigned essentials, an expanded range to appeal to a wide variety of guest styles, and affordable home items.
Additionally, the store has reformatted its layout with key home categories such as decorative pillows and tabletop décor to be merchandised together for a simpler discovery experience.
This comes as the business has experienced successful results within the home décor department, with accessories and candles experiencing double-digit growth.
The retailer also lowered the price of its home essentials range to expand affordability, with Threshold queen comforters now at $69 from $89.
