Target launches loyalty-driven Deal Days event

Target has launched its Deal Days event, scheduled between October 6 and 7, with early access for select Target Circle 360 members on October 5.

This move is part of the retailer’s strategic business use of its loyalty program to enhance holiday season engagement.

The promotion will offer discounts of up to 40 per cent and various category-specific deals across its range of stores and on the retailer’s website.

This discounted period will be supported by omnichannel fulfillment, including same-day delivery and order pickup.

The Deal Days is focused on its loyalty program, which provides free membership benefits and an enhanced paid tier, Target Circle 360.

The event’s early access privilege for 360 members aims to incentivize upgrades while rewarding existing loyalty.

Target is employing a mix of member-only discounts and new-member incentives to attract and retain shoppers ahead of the critical holiday window.

By integrating personalized offers within categories and brands, the campaign seeks to improve overall customer engagement.

Sarah Travis, EVP and chief digital and revenue officer, Target said: “Guests are looking for ways to save as they swap summer wardrobes for cozy layers, refresh their homes for Fall, and start checking gifts off their holiday shopping lists.

“Helping guests celebrate the season with great style, thoughtful design, and incredible value is what we do best. Target Circle Deal Days is our way of saying thank you to members while helping them save even more on the styles and brands they love.”

The timing taps into seasonal merchandising cycles, positioning Deal Days as a momentum-builder for holiday sales footfall.
