Sephora unveils holiday campaign featuring Seth Rogen

Sephora has launched a holiday campaign featuring actor and producer Seth Rogen, which showcases a playful approach to beauty gifting.

The beauty retailer aims to place itself as the go-to holiday shopping destination for consumers’ friends and family.

Over the festive season, Sephora will offer expertly curated gifting guides, which can only be found at Sephora now and over the holiday period.

The marketing advertisement was directed by Jason Woliner and developed in partnership with Gut New York, starring Rogen as the main character.

As part of the campaign, Rogen is an unexpected beauty shopper looking for holiday gifts, and with guidance from a Sephora beauty advisor, he searches through the store.

The video features a signature comedic lens, which includes discovering setting spray for his producer and the preferred scent for his cousin.

As part of the marketing activity, clients can discover and shop for Rogen’s curated selection, which is in the campaign at Sephora for gifting exchanges and holiday gatherings.

Rogen said: “I had a lot of fun working on this campaign with Sephora. Holiday gifting can be stressful, so anything that makes it easier is a win in my book.”

Sephora started off the holiday campaign with a “Sethphora” marketing installation at The Grove location in Los Angeles, California.

Zena Arnold, chief marketing officer at Sephora US said: “Seth is the perfect partner because he brings a warmth, curiosity, and humor that makes beauty feel approachable and fun.

“He wants to find something meaningful for the people he cares about and turned to our beauty advisors for a little guidance along the way.

“Through ‘We All Sephora,’ we’re bringing that confidence to life, turning the pressure of finding the right gift into the joy of discovery.”

The campaign is set to officially roll out on 29 October across CTV, linear television, streaming, and social media, and clients can shop on the company’s website and application.
