Canada-based Asian grocery retailer T&T Supermarket is expanding its presence in California with a new store in Southern California set to open in fall 2026.
T&T Supermarket is building a 61,000-square-foot store in Chino Hills, California, which will be the retailer’s largest store in the US.
This will be the supermarket chain’s sixth store in the US and is slated to bring in 350 jobs for the local community, according to the company.
Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarket said: “We’re so excited to continue our expansion in California.
“Chino Hills is a wonderful community to live in, and we can’t wait to add to the local food scene. We’re transforming two vacant retail spaces, formerly Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond, into one big food destination spanning 61,000 square feet.”
The announcement comes on the heels of the grocer announcing its plans to open a Southern California store in Great Market Community, Irvine.
The Canadian retailer first debuted in the US in Bellevue, Washington, in December 2024 and has rapidly expanded since its initial success.
Its new location will feature an assortment of Asian products, including produce, fresh food, a serviced bakery, Asian liquor, and over 200 products from T&T’s private label collection.
Meanwhile, other international supermarkets such as Aldi have announced plans to expand their retail footprint across the US.
T&T was founded in 1993 and operates around 38 locations in Canada and currently has one location in the US.
