Sam’s Club launches $160 Thanksgiving meal for 16

Sam’s Club announced it will offer a new Thanksgiving meal kit designed to feed up to 16 people, available starting October 28.

Priced at just under $160, the retailer describes the offering as its “largest Thanksgiving meal” kit, which features 11 different items and a preparation time of approximately two hours.

The kit is intended to streamline holiday cooking for larger groups, a category Sam’s Club says has shown growing demand.

Customers can order the meal for pickup or delivery, though the retailer has cautioned that delivery times may vary based on location and availability. Sam’s Club encourages early ordering to avoid potential delays.

The company highlighted time-saving benefits, noting that customers can have a full holiday spread without the usual extensive preparation involved.

The 11 items included reportedly cover the essentials of a classic Thanksgiving meal, designed to satisfy a sizeable gathering without the need to shop for individual components.

The business aims to offer a sizeable, pre-prepared option in the lead-up to the holiday, which addresses a gap for customers seeking a large-scale, time-efficient meal solution.

Sam’s Club’s entry into this segment appears timed to meet competitive pressures within the holiday meal kit market, where options range from more modest servings to higher-priced gourmet kits.

By emphasizing scale and value, the retailer hopes to appeal to families and groups aiming to minimize holiday cooking stress.

Ashley Peoples, senior director, product development, Sam’s Club said: “We’re helping people spend less time in the kitchen and more time with family. And on a day like Thanksgiving, that’s what really matters.”
