Moncler launches Re/Icons collection featuring Cher and Grace Jones

Moncler has launched a new collection that is inspired by the luxury brand’s previous pieces, which have been redesigned for a new generation.

The collection is fronted by three influential figures, Cher, Jennie, and Grace Jones, which is a move that aims to leverage their cultural relevance to boost visibility.

According to the fashion brand, the new collection was inspired by alphine pioneer and Moncler collaborator Lionel Terray, with contemporary versions of Moncler outerwear and accessories.

The Grammy Award winner, Cher, wore the Re/Icons Himalaya jacket in white and the Verone jacket in black and a yellow scarf.

Cher said: “Pioneering spirit is just going forward and being tough. Pioneers were tough. It’s going and not giving up and being thankful.”

As part of the hero film, she pulls off the scarf in reference to The Cher Show’s famous yellow dress reveal.

Singer Jennie wore the Moncler Re/Icons Karakorum jacket in black and the Tibb gilet in caramel, and the brand selected her as part of the campaign to leverage her global audience.

Jennie said: “My most extraordinary dream is to keep discovering different versions of myself that I haven’t met yet. To keep creating freely, experiencing new things, and never stop dreaming bigger.”

Grace Jones was photographed in the brand’s Re/Icons Karakorum jacket in deep purple, which is a direct reference to her work with Jean-Paul Goude.

As part of the creative, Jones is surrounded by lookalikes, which aims to showcase the connection between the icon, past and present.

The new collection is now available at selected Moncler stores and on the retailer’s website.
