Target cuts prices on more than 3,000 items in spring push for value shoppers

The retailer is rolling out price reductions on thousands of products this spring as it aims to appeal to value-focused, time-pressed families.

Target said it is lowering prices on more than 3,000 frequently purchased items spanning apparel, home goods, baby products and selected food and beverage categories.

Most of the markdowns range from roughly 5% to 20% below the previous prices. The reductions begin in March and will continue throughout the spring season.

According to the company, the latest round of discounts reflects its broader strategy to combine design and style with affordability while supporting long-term growth.

The lower prices will not apply in Alaska or Hawaii. The move follows a previous wave of markdowns that affected thousands of items in November 2025.

The pricing initiative also arrives shortly after new CEO Michael Fiddelke outlined a turnaround strategy for the company and discussed steps being taken to better serve what the retailer describes as “busy families.”

“Busy families are thinking about value as they begin to update their homes and wardrobes for spring,” said Cara Sylvester, executive VP and chief merchandising officer, Target. “We’re delivering by lowering prices on 3,000 spring favorites across apparel, essentials and home.

We’re committed to making it easier than ever for guests to have the fresh style and incredible value they love, with lower prices on the items we know they want.”

Target highlighted several product areas included in the price reductions, such as women’s and children’s clothing, bedding, blankets and sheets for the home, and footwear like flats, sandals and sneakers.

The company is also cutting prices on everyday goods, including baby products, household necessities and pantry staples.
