Wayfair to launch new store in New York by 2027

Home goods retailer Wayfair is expanding its brick-and-mortar fleet with a new store set to open in Yonkers, New York, in early 2027.

The new store will be located in the Ridge Hill open-air lifestyle center. The 114,000-square-foot space features 19 departments displaying furniture, home décor, outdoor living, and home improvement equipment.

Liza Lefkowski, VP of merchandising and stores at Wayfair, said: “Over the past year, we’ve seen firsthand how a thoughtfully designed physical store can deepen engagement, drive growth, and introduce the Wayfair brand to entirely new audiences.

“The upcoming Yonkers store builds on that momentum, bringing our immersive retail experience to the New York metro area and delivering the same inspiration, convenience, and flexibility our customers have come to expect.”

The company’s location is strategically positioned next to the New Jersey fulfillment center, which will allow for fast delivery speeds to the store.

Lefkowski added: “New York is one of the most design-forward markets in the world, and Yonkers gives us the space to bring our retail vision to life.

“This location lets us serve everyone from Manhattan to Westchester and beyond with an inspiring, full-scale shopping experience that Wayfair is known for.”

Last year the online retailer debuted its first brick-and-mortar store, located at Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Illinois.

The furniture giant plans to open another 150,000-square-foot location in Atlanta next year as part of its plans to strengthen its physical retail presence.

The news comes after Wayfair reported progress in the first quarter of 2025, achieving a net revenue of $2.7 billion, a 1.6% rise year-over-year.
