Uber Eats expands grocery delivery with six new regional chains

Uber Eats is continuing to expand its reach in the US grocery delivery market, announcing new partnerships with six regional supermarket chains.

The on-demand delivery platform will now facilitate online orders for Big Y and King Kullen in the Northeast, Superlo Foods, Lunds & Byerlys, and Foxtrot in the Midwest and Texas, and Vallarta Supermarkets in California.

These additions reflect Uber’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in local grocery delivery and follow earlier partnerships with several other regional and national chains.

Since January 2025, Northeast grocer Wegmans has offered delivery via Uber Eats, and the platform already partners with Meijer, The Fresh Market, Cub Foods, H Mart, Giant Eagle, Save Mart, Stew Leonard’s, Lowes Foods, and Weis Markets, among others.

“Uber has been absolutely fantastic to work with,” said James Randall, officer at Memphis-based Superlo Foods. “Working through integrations can be difficult, but they meet you where you are and have the flexibility to adapt to you.”

Uber Eats said its grocery division has experienced significant growth in recent months, driven by continued demand for fast and convenient delivery. All six new grocers are now available on the Uber Eats app.

“Our goal is to provide customers with an unparalleled selection of grocery options, from national brands to the local retailers they trust most,” said Hashim Amin, head of grocery and retail for North America at Uber.

“With this latest expansion, we’re deepening our investment in regional grocery partners and making it easier than ever for customers to get their grocery shopping done from the comfort of their homes.”
