Family Dollar teams up with Uber Eats for nationwide delivery

Family Dollar customers can now access direct delivery of its shopping products after a newly announced partnership with Uber Eats.

The discount retailer will offer products from more than 5,000 stores across the US on the Uber Eats platform.

Family Dollar sells a wide assortment of discounted products to shoppers, including cleaning supplies, beauty and baby products, and food items.

This strategic partnership will expand the discounter’s customer reach, and Bonita Price, Chief Merchandising Officer of Family Dollar, highlighted its importance.

Price said: “By partnering with Uber Eats, it’s now even easier to access essentials from the comfort of home.

“Expanded access at an incredible value goes a long way in helping our customers save time and do more, especially in underserved communities.”

As a part of the launch, Uber Eats will be rolling out discount offers for customers shopping directly from the retailer.

Hashim Amin, Uber’s Head of Grocery and Retail, added: “As millions of people look to stretch their wallets without sacrificing convenience, we’re proud to welcome Family Dollar to the Uber Eats platform.

“This partnership expands affordable access to everyday items while giving people even more ways to shop smart, save time, and stay on budget.”

Uber Eats has been teaming up with various retailers across the US for delivery services, including Sally Beauty and PetCo.

Meanwhile, Family Dollar was sold off by parent company Dollar Tree in a $1 billion deal with private-equity firms Brigade Capital Management and Macellum Capital Management after facing financial struggles.
