Kohl’s has announced the appointment of Stacy Taffet to its board of directors as an independent director.
Taffet currently serves as the chief growth and marketing officer for The Hershey Company and has over 20 years of experience in the role.
Additionally, she has worked at major FMCG brands, which includes 15 years of senior roles at snacking company PepsiCo.
This move is part of an ongoing board restructuring process at the retailer, which aims to bring in a senior leader with relevant experience.
Wendy Arlin, board chair at Kohl’s said: “We are pleased to welcome Stacy to the board. Throughout her career, she’s been instrumental in driving meaningful growth, innovation, and value creation at large, global consumer companies.
“She has a strong focus on putting the customer at the center of key decisions and strategies. She will be an excellent addition to our board as we continue to work with Kohl’s leadership team to drive transformation at Kohl’s and create value for our shareholders.”
As part of the new executive change, Tarffet will serve on the board’s audit committee, and the directors will now consist of 9 members, 8 of whom are independent.
Taffet said: “I’m honored to join the Kohl’s board. Kohl’s is a storied retailer with an important place in the retail industry.
“There is great opportunity for the future, and I’m excited to join the board at a time when much of that opportunity is still ahead of us. I am committed to being a productive voice in the boardroom, supporting growth strategies, and delivering shareholder value.”
