Parent company of Bed Bath & Beyond ends acquisition of F9 brands

Parent company of Bed Bath & Beyond Neighborhood Intelligence, has officially terminated its previously announced acquisition agreement with F9 Brands, the parent company of Cabinets To Go.

The business cited F9’s inability to meet all closing conditions within the expected timeframe. The companies will remain independent, and no shares will be issued nor capital allocated to the former deal, Neighborhood confirmed.

Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman of Neighborhood Intelligence said: “Disciplined capital allocation and protecting shareholder value are central to how we evaluate every transaction.

“We evaluate opportunities continuously, and this is one of many transactions we have considered that we elected not to pursue. In this case, we determined the seller was unable to satisfy the closing conditions, which are essential to our confidence in any business we acquire.

“We appreciate the time and effort contributed by the F9 management team and employees throughout the process.

“We remain focused on the strength of the Home Services platform, anchored by Elfa, Closet Works and SFV Construction Services, and on pursuing opportunities that meet our strategic, financial, and operational standards.”

The company says it remains focused on expanding its Home Services platform, particularly leveraging Elfa’s design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities in whole-home solutions across kitchen, laundry, bath, closet, and garage segments.

This follows the company’s completed acquisition of The Container Store, Kirkland’s and Installed Right on 31 August 2026.

Neighborhood’s portfolio currently spans multiple retail and home services businesses, including SFV Construction Services, Elfa, and Closet Works.
