Citi Trends announces CFO departure

Off-price retailer Citi Trends has announced that its chief financial officer Heather Plutino is set to depart from the role due to personal reasons.

She will continue to serve in the position as CFO while the company seeks out a successor and has offered to stay for a smooth transition once a new CFO is appointed.

The company is now actively seeking a successor to replace her in the executive leadership team.

Ken Seipel, chairman and CEO said: “Heather has been an important member of our leadership team, and I want to thank her for her contributions to Citi Trends.

“We respect Heather’s decision to step away and greatly appreciate her willingness to remain actively engaged as we conduct our search and her support to transition the role to her successor.

“Her continued leadership provides stability and continuity for our finance organization during this process.”

Plutino added: “I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of Citi Trends and am very proud of what our team has accomplished.

“After thoughtful consideration, I have made the decision to step down from my role. I continue to have great confidence in the transformation plan we are executing and this team’s ability to create value for our shareholders.

“I remain fully committed to the company and to supporting Ken, the board, and our finance team while we identify my successor and ensure a seamless transition.”
