Best Buy set to launch on TikTok Shop

Best Buy is launching on TikTok Shop in late October, which aims to offer customers another channel to discover and shop for the home improvement retailer’s range of products.

The shopping experience will feature nearly 10,000 products from top-name brands, including Oura, Bose, Dyson, and Microsoft, which will enable customers to purchase without leaving the TikTok app.

Customers will be able to purchase products directly on the social media platform, and orders will be fulfilled by BestBuy and eligible TikTok shop purchases are able to be returned directly in store or mailed back.

The company aims to showcase its range of products in daily use by creating shoppable videos and photos on the application.

According to the business, the campaigns connect with Best Buy’s first-party data and measurement capabilities to allow brands to analyze which creators, content, and products are driving forward engagement and sales.

Jonathan Greer, VP of e-commerce at Best Buy said: “Social media isn’t just influencing what people buy anymore. It’s shaping how they discover products, with creators playing an increasingly important role in what people notice, consider, and want to try.

“Launching on TikTok Shop lets us meet customers at that exact moment of discovery and make it easy to shop.”

For the company’s advertisement partners, the launch creates a new way to collaborate with creators on the platform.

This marks one of the first big box retailers on the platform. The expansion comes after the brand also launched a Best Buy Creator Program, which aims to connect audiences with the products and leverage the popularity of social media marketing.
