Best Buy has launched Best Buy Creator, a platform for online influencers to share their product recommendations to help customers discover new technological products.
The partnership gives influencers the opportunity to develop personalized, curated shopping experiences featuring Best Buy tech products.
In turn, the influencers will earn a commission on sales that were referred through their storefront, with no cap on the commissions earned.
Jennie Weber, chief marketing officer at Best Buy, said in a statement: “We know shoppers love to be inspired and discover innovative tech from their favorite content creators.
“We’re excited to launch the Best Buy Creator program and empower creators to turn their passion and authenticity into a shoppable retail experience that’s fun, inspirational, and convenient.”
The program is launching with popular tech content creators such as Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips, Judner Aura, and Jenna Ezarik.
By partnering with well-known social media influencers, the electronics retailer aims to boost sales and reach a wider audience.
A recent survey found that 63% of Americans under 60 rely on influencers for purchasing advice, highlighting the growing impact of creator-led marketing.
The platform’s business model closely mirrors Amazon’s affiliate influencer program, aligning with the company’s broader strategy to drive growth through targeted marketing and advertising.
Last month the electronics retailer also launched Social+, an automated platform designed to help brands and advertising agencies leverage its first-party audience data to enhance social campaign performance.
It also joins the list of retailers warning customers about higher prices due to tariffs, as Best Buy’s main suppliers are located in China and Mexico.
