Aldi is strengthening its presence in the West by introducing two new stores in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The stores are located at 621 Marks St. in Henderson, Nevada, and 2106 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and mark the grocery retailer’s entrance into Las Vegas.
Jason Hart, CEO of Aldi, said, “With 25% of U.S. households and counting trusting our products and low prices, we’re growing rapidly from coast-to-coast.”
“Opening stores in Las Vegas gives us the opportunity for continued growth in this exciting market and allows us to bring an affordable and fun grocery experience to shoppers nationwide.”
This aligns with the company’s ambitious plans to open 225 new locations across the US in 2025.
As part of the opening event, Aldi offered shoppers poker chips to unlock grocery carts and offered a chance to gain access to exclusive shopping experiences.
Additionally, the grocer gave away branded merchandise at an event featuring product label tastings.
Aldi also partnered with delivery platform DoorDash for an opening ceremony special, with a custom activation for customers located at the Exosphere.
Shawn Eddy, regional vice president for Aldi, added, “At our new Las Vegas-area ALDI stores, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer.”
The discount retailer also announced plans to open a third store in May and a fourth store by the end of the year.
Earlier this year, data revealed that the German supermarket store dominated in foot traffic growth.
Moving forward, the grocer plans to continue its expansion as part of its five-year growth strategy.
