Saks Global appoints two former Bloomingdale’s executives to key store leadership roles

Saks Global has strengthened its leadership team with two senior appointments aimed at enhancing in-store experiences and driving growth across its luxury retail portfolio.

The company has named Matt Dunphy as senior vice president, store growth and experiences, Saks Fifth Avenue & Neiman Marcus, a newly created position.

Christina DeGrezia has been appointed vice president, general manager of the Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship.

The appointments follow recent leadership changes at Saks Global, including the departure of president and chief commercial officer Emily Essner.

Dunphy joins Saks Global after a 16-year career at Bloomingdale’s, where he held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as vice president, regional director of stores for the Northeast and Midwest regions.

In his new role, he will guide growth strategies for the Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus store networks, with a focus on maximizing the store fleet’s performance and reimagining the in-store shopping experience. The company said Dunphy will also be “championing innovation across the store experience.”

DeGrezia also comes from Bloomingdale’s, where she was senior director, general manager of its iconic 59th Street flagship in Manhattan.

Before that, she spent nearly a decade in store leadership roles at Saks Fifth Avenue, including a previous tenure as general manager of its New York flagship.

In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of the flagship’s operations, focusing on operational excellence and an elevated customer experience that reflects the brand’s luxury standards.

Both executives will report to Mary McGreevy, chief stores officer, Saks Fifth Avenue & Neiman Marcus.
