Estée Lauder appoints SVP, global marketing of Clinique

Estée Lauder has announced the appointment of Krista Lee Berger as the SVP, global marketing, Clinique.

As part of the role, Berger will manage the brand’s international marketing strategies while pushing towards innovation within the company.

Additionally, her position will focus on creating a culturally relevant place for the brand through communications that can appeal to a new generation of consumers.

Berger will report directly to Michelle Freyre, global president of dermatological brands.

She brings years of experience within major companies to the roles, most recently serving as SVP of global head of Barbie & Dolls at Mattel.

During her tenure, she oversaw strategy, product innovation, licensing, partnerships, and retail and entertainment segments.

According to the business, Berger played an essential part in shaping the global brand strategy for Barbie The Movie and forming culturally relevant and strategic partnerships.

Freyre said: “Krista is an inspiring leader who is globally recognized for transforming iconic brands into culturally relevant businesses, bringing decades of marketing experience, strong commercial acumen, creative energy, and a deep respect for brand equity.

“I am excited to welcome Krista to The Estée Lauder Companies and look forward to working with her and the Clinique team to build on the brand’s strong heritage and unlock its future growth.”

Additionally, she also worked at American Girl, where she managed the rebrand towards a modern narrative to market to the current generation of consumers.

This move comes as the global beauty company has been reshuffling its leadership team as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

Estée Lauder has made a suite of c-suite changes to bolster its long-term strength and profitability.
