Fast fashion retailer Primark has announced plans to open its first store in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on 8 September.
This move is part of the international store’s expansion in the US, which brings the total number of locations to 47.
The new store will be in Sugarloaf Mills, and the retailer has plans to open a second Georgia store in Augusta.
The opening event will include live entertainment, local treats, and giveaways while the stocks last.
Kevin Tulip, president of Primark US said: “Our expansion into the state of Georgia is something we’re extremely excited about. We’re thrilled to bring the residents of Atlanta Primark’s signature everyday essentials at affordable prices.
“We know that Primark’s offering of quality fashion at exceptional value is more important than ever to today’s consumers, and we’re looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming customers from Georgia’s capital.”
The discount retailer offers a range of apparel and everyday essentials at low prices, including women’s denim starting from $12.
Shoppers will be able to search through the fashion retailer’s catalogue online before coming in-store. Primark is currently undergoing a recruitment drive to fill in the roles as it continues to grow its physical estate across the US.
This comes after the Irish brand expanded its US footprint with two new locations earlier this summer in July. The fashion retailer also opened a pop-op in New York ahead of its Manhattan flagship last November.
Primark, founded in Ireland in 1969 as Penneys, operates more than 470 stores across 17 countries.
