Abercrombie & Fitch Co. closed out fiscal 2025 with continued momentum, surpassing $5 billion in annual revenue for the first time and extending its growth streak to 13 consecutive quarters.
The apparel retailer reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of $3.68 for the period ended Jan. 31, beating analyst expectations of $3.58 and rising from $3.57 a year earlier. Net sales increased 5% to $1.67 billion, while total comparable sales edged up 1%.
Growth was driven largely by Hollister, whose sales rose to $863.3 million from $812.3 million, with comparable sales up 3%. Sales at the namesake Abercrombie & Fitch brand increased to $806.5 million from $772.7 million, though comparable sales declined 1%.
For the full year, net sales rose 6% to $5.27 billion, with comparable sales up 3%. Hollister posted 13% comparable growth, while Abercrombie comps fell 7%.
Digital accounted for 44% of total sales, including about 31% at Hollister and roughly 59% at Abercrombie.
CEO Fran Horowitz said the company’s record fourth quarter marked its 13th straight quarter of growth, with operating margin and earnings per share landing at the high end of expectations shared earlier in the year.
The company is continuing to expand its store footprint. CFO Robert J. Ball told analysts Abercrombie plans roughly 125 “new experiences” in 2026, including 55 store openings and 70 remodels or right-sized locations.
Net store openings are expected to total about 30, relatively balanced between brands but weighted toward the Americas.
Abercrombie ended the year with 829 stores globally, including 523 Hollister locations and 306 Abercrombie & Fitch stores.
Looking ahead, the retailer expects fiscal 2026 sales growth of 3% to 5%, operating margin between 12% and 12.5%, and earnings per share in the range of $10.20 to $11.
Horowitz said the company is entering the year with a strong foundation built on “two globally relevant brands, a proven operating model, and a robust balance sheet.”
