LG Electronics has launched the world’s first hotel TV supporting both Apple AirPlay and Google Cast, marking a significant innovation in hospitality and commercial display technology, according to a company press release issued on 1 July 2025.
Although the logistics platform’s US rollout has not yet been confirmed, LG continues to expand operations in North America. The company is also considering relocating more production to the region and adjusting prices in response to tariff-related pressures, as Reuters and Wall Street Journal reports.
The new display allows hotel guests to stream content directly from personal devices by scanning a QR code, while automatically deleting user data at checkout—designed to prioritise privacy and convenience. It comes embedded with LG’s Business Cloud platform and includes an integrated controller, speaker, interactive whiteboard and AI chatbot, enabling streamlined management across commercial environments.
A part of a broader global push by LG into smart logistics and B2B operations. In parallel with the product launch, LG has announced a strategic partnership with AI-powered logistics firm LogisValley to support warehouse automation, digital twin systems and global distribution network upgrades.
“This partnership is a major step forward in becoming a trusted partner in the fast-growing smart logistics industry,” said Jeong Dae-hwa, head of LG’s Production-engineering Research Institute. “By leveraging the logistics expertise we’ve built through operating our Lighthouse smart factories, we aim to create real value for our customers.”
LG cited forecasts showing the smart logistics market could grow from $88.1bn in 2025 to $212.8bn by 2032, driven by rising demand for automation and real-time data systems. . With over 50 logistics centers operated by LogisValley globally, the partnership is expected to strengthen LG’s commercial reach in smart logistics and B2B services.
The dual-casting hospitality TV not only enhances LG’s portfolio in commercial AV and cloud-integrated display solutions, but also aligns with the group’s wider strategy of pairing consumer-facing innovation with industrial transformation.
