Tailored Brands appoints president John Tighe as next CEO in leadership transition

Tailored Brands, parent company of Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, and other menswear banners, has named John Tighe as its next chief executive officer, effective August 5, 2025.

Tighe will also join the company’s board of directors.

Current CEO Peter Sachse will transition to the role of executive chairman, marking the next phase of leadership since he first joined the board in 2021 and served as co-CEO before becoming sole CEO in February 2024.

Tighe, who joined the company in 2021 as EVP and chief customer officer and became president in 2022, previously held executive roles at Peerless Clothing and JCPenney.

“I’m honored to lead this talented organization,” Tighe said. “I look forward to unlocking the potential of all our banners as a team.”

The leadership transition comes as Tailored Brands looks to continue its momentum post-bankruptcy, with over 1,000 stores operating under its core banners including Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores, and K&G Fashion Superstore.
