Mango hits 50-store milestone in US with new Portland location

Mango has reached a key milestone in its US expansion, opening its 50th store in the country with a new location at Washington Square in Portland, Oregon.

The store features the brand’s Woman line exclusively and follows the opening of another Portland store earlier this year at Pioneer Place.

The new site showcases Mango’s “New Med” retail concept, characterised by Mediterranean-inspired design, warm tones, sustainable materials, and natural finishes that reflect the brand’s commitment to both style and environmental consciousness.

“Reaching this milestone is an important achievement for the entire Mango team,” said Daniel López, chief expansion and franchise officer.

“It reaffirms our deep commitment to our US clients and our ambition in the market.”

The Washington Square opening marks Mango’s eighth US store debut in 2025, with recent launches in Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, and Oregon.

Notable openings include Fashion Show Las Vegas, Albuquerque’s Coronado Center, and Pioneer Place in downtown Portland.

Looking ahead, Mango plans to debut its first Illinois store on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago and expand further in California with a location in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza.

These openings are part of Mango’s aggressive US expansion strategy launched in 2022, when it opened a flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

The company expects to open 20 new US stores and double its workforce to over 1,200 employees by the end of 2025.

Founded in 1984, Mango operates more than 2,840 stores globally, with a strong presence across Europe.
