Ulta Beauty has partnered with hair and skincare brand Rodan + Fields to sell products from its direct-to-consumer skincare company on the retailer’s website and in stores nationwide.
Rodan + Fields’ retail debut is a part of the beauty giant’s plan to expand customer outreach.
A range of products from Rodan + Fields are now available at Ulta Beauty stores and on their retail website.
Lisa Tamburello, vice president of merchandising at Ulta Beauty, said: “We are excited to welcome Rodan + Fields to the Ulta Beauty family.
“As a female and dermatologist-founded skincare brand, R+F brings innovative formulas that align with our commitment to offering guests effective solutions.”
The partnership follows a restructuring plan for Rodan + Fields, which aims to streamline its operations and expand its sales.
Anncy Rowe, chief commercial officer of Rodan + Fields, added: “We have been the skincare brand of choice for millions of women for over 15 years, and we’re excited to expand into retail, allowing even more women to experience our cutting-edge formulas.
“We’re thrilled to introduce our products to Ulta Beauty guests seeking high-performance skincare they can trust.”
Last year the company ended its multi-level marketing structure and shifted to affiliate-driven, direct-to-customer sales from independent consultants.
Rodan + Fields, founded in 2000 by dermatologists Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, also restructured its corporate model by cutting off around 100 jobs.
Additionally, Rodan + Fields announced the introduction of a dermatologist advisory board, with board-certified dermatologists helping the brand create new skin care technologies and innovative solutions.
