The Body Shop is making its return to the US this month, relaunching exclusively online through a dedicated website and an Amazon storefront.
The British beauty brand will offer its signature range of bath, body, skin care, and hair care products, including fan favourites from previous collections, and plans to extend its fragrance lineup in the coming months.
The digital-first comeback is part of what the company described as a “reinvigorated global growth strategy focused on consumer centricity, omnichannel availability and innovation across product and experience.”
“The return of The Body Shop to the US marks a pivotal moment in our global expansion strategy,” said Executive Chairman and CEO Mike Jatania.
“By combining a robust e-commerce presence with a leading marketplace offering, we are meeting customers where they are while delivering on our promise of ethical, high-quality products.
“This launch will enable us to rebuild connections with loyal US consumers and drive sustainable, long-term growth for our business.”
The move follows a turbulent period for the 49-year-old brand. The Body Shop’s US arm filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in March 2024 after its U.K. parent company entered administration, a process similar to bankruptcy.
The brand was later acquired by a consortium led by Auréa Group, which also owns Herbivore Botanicals and DCYPHER.
Founded in Brighton, England, in 1976, The Body Shop became a global pioneer in ethical and cruelty-free beauty.
Under its new ownership, the company is doubling down on that mission, this time through a leaner, e-commerce-only approach aimed at reconnecting with its customer base and revitalising its international presence.
