Macy’s unveils private homeware label

Macy’s has launched a private homeware brand, Arch Studio, offering bath and bedding products, kitchenware, and dinnerware at affordable prices.

Its private homeware label also features budget-friendly stackable dishes, glassware, cookware, and bath and bedding sets.

The collection of products is available for purchase at its physical retail stores and Macy’s mobile app and website.

Emily-Erusha Hilleque, SVP of private brands for Macy’s, said: “As we continue on our private brands reimagination journey, this year we are focused on home and want to inspire our customers with elevated products.

“We’ve conducted three years of research with thousands of customers in their homes to ensure that we created a brand that simplifies self-expression in the home.”

Other retailers are also expanding their private label offerings, with Kohl’s recently launching two affordable home design brands.

Macy’s is also partnering with established contemporary brands to expand its business, recently launching denim brand Good American’s products at its stores.

Tony Spring, Macy’s CEO and chairman, added in an earnings call: “Our investments in stores and customer service are most valuable when paired with a compelling assortment.

“We are applying learnings across private brand reimagination to deliver more compelling assortments, complemented by an established footprint of contemporary brands.”

Additionally, as part of its restructuring plans following a mixed performance in Q4 2024, Macy’s will close around 66 stores in the US to eliminate underperforming locations.
