Winn-Dixie expands in-store Amazon return kiosks across Florida

Winn-Dixie is widening its omnichannel partnership with Amazon after a successful pilot of in-store return kiosks in the Jacksonville, Fla., area.

The regional grocer said it will expand the program from 20 pilot stores to 68 additional locations across 23 Florida counties.

The kiosks let customers return eligible Amazon items without a box, tape or label, with bags and labels provided on-site. When initiating a return on Amazon, shoppers can select Winn-Dixie as the drop-off option.

Customers can confirm participating stores via the Winn-Dixie rewards app or the retailer’s e-commerce site. After completing a return, kiosk users receive a $10 off $50 coupon through the rewards app.

A QR code appears on the kiosk screen once the return is processed and can be scanned to instantly activate the offer.

Amazon recently began offering the full Winn-Dixie grocery assortment for delivery, alongside its own products, in the greater Jacksonville and Orlando markets.

The expansion comes as parent company Southeastern Grocers prepares to rebrand as The Winn-Dixie Company, operating in Florida and Georgia.
