Ralph Lauren returns to San Francisco with new store

Ralph Lauren has opened the doors to its new North American store on Jackson Square Historic District, San Francisco.

The 2,000-sq.ft. plus store houses men’s and women’s apparel from the Polo Ralph Lauren and Double RL collection and select vintage apparel and accessories.

Its new location has vintage features, custom millwork cases, and decorative art, aligning with the fashion retailer’s brand image.

“The opening of the new store marks Ralph Lauren’s return to the San Francisco market and reinforces the company’s continued focus on its key city ecosystem approach, including strengthening its presence on the West Coast, driving elevation, and delivering a consistent experience for Ralph Lauren consumers across all touchpoints around the world,” the company said in a statement.

This return to San Francisco follows two previous closures of Ralph Lauren stores in the California city, in 2013 and 2020.

The luxury retailer previously had an outlet at 040 Fillmore St, which was shuttered in 2020 and replaced by Lululemon, as well as a store in Crocker Galleria that closed in 2013.

The new store opening is part of the company’s expansion plans in global cities, following successful results in its most recent earnings.

In Q3 of fiscal 2025, Ralph Lauren saw its revenue rise by 11% to $2.1 billion, while its global direct-to-consumer comparable store sales increased by 12%, driven by the busy holiday shopping season.

Patrice Louvet, CEO and president of Ralph Lauren, added: “We are encouraged by this quarter’s strong performance, and we continue to be sharply focused on what’s ahead for Ralph Lauren: leveraging the incredible power of our brand and diverse drivers of growth to stay on offense into the next year and beyond.”
