Nike has appointed Alexandre Arnault, deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s wines and spirits division, to the company’s board of directors.
Arnault has had major experience working with major consumer goods facing companies, including as the EVP of product, communications, and industrial at Tiffany & Co.
According to the business, he played an essential part in creating a turnaround for the brand.
Prior to the role, he oversaw LVMH’s acquisition of Rimowa and led as the company’s CEO for four years, revitalizing the brand’s overall positioning.
In the earlier part of his career, he focused on digital innovation and technology investment at luxury fashion brands LVMH and Agache.
Mark Parker, executive chairman at Nike said: “Alexandre has earned a reputation for helping iconic global brands evolve, innovate, and grow in a changing, complex marketplace.
“As part of our commitment to strong governance and thoughtful board succession, we look for leaders with distinctive experiences, fresh perspectives, and a proven ability to create long-term value.
“Alexandre’s leadership across some of the world’s most respected brands will make him a strong addition to our board.”
He also currently sits on the board of directors at LMVH and works as a trustee of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He also previously served on the board of directors of Carrefour, Birkenstock, and Moncler.
This move comes as the global fashion and athleisure brand strengthens its overall executive team as it pushes towards a financial turnaround.
