Garage set to open store in 42nd US state

Fashion brand Garage is expanding its footprint across the US with the opening of a new store in Alabama on 4 September.

This marks a major step in the Montreal-founded retailer’s expansion, officially making Alabama the 42nd US state to have a Garage store.

The fashion brand has a growing international footprint across the US, UK, Canada and other countries.

This store opening is part of a business strategy to develop immersive retail spaces across North America. The retailer aims to meet growing consumer demand according to the business.

Romina Kolodziejska, VP, global real estate & store development at Groupe Dynamite said: “We’re on an incredible run right now. Hitting our 42nd state with this Alabama opening proves that the Garage energy resonates everywhere.

“Whether it’s in London, Hawaii, or now in Birmingham, our goal remains exactly the same: to create high-impact destinations for our community, meeting them exactly where they are.”

This newest location comes after the company’s estate expansion through a series of recent store openings.

During the last few weeks Garage opened new stores in Honolulu and Las Vegas while developing a newly expanded shopfront at the Mall of America in Minnesota, which is one of the largest in the entire estate.

This North American expansion follows a successful international push with a series of openings across the UK. Garage has a goal of growing its international presence and continues to develop new stores globally.

The business commemorated 50 years of operations this year, with its main target audience being younger women worldwide. The fashion brand has established itself in North America for producing culturally relevant and stylish modern apparel.
