Costco expands Instacart delivery options with no-rush and 30-minute priority services

Costco is enhancing its partnership with Instacart by expanding delivery options for customers shopping via its e-commerce platform, sameday.costco.com.

The wholesale retailer now offers no-rush delivery, allowing customers to schedule orders in advance and earn savings for choosing flexible delivery windows.

It also launched a priority deliveryservice, enabling delivery in as little as 30 minutes.

These new services build on Costco’s growing collaboration with Instacart, which began in 2020 with same-day delivery and expanded to curbside pickup at select locations in 2021.

The enhancements come as part of Costco’s broader efforts to make its membership-based retail model more accessible and responsive to shifting consumer needs.

The company operates 905 warehouses globally, including 624 in the US.

Meanwhile, Instacart is also pushing deeper into digital integrations through its Instacart Developer Platform, allowing third-party apps and websites to offer shoppable experiences.

A new initiative with Thrive Global and Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan is making the Thrive Global Cookbook shoppable, turning healthy recipes into grocery lists that can be ordered instantly through Instacart.

“Food is a big part of our mission at Thrive Global,” said founder Arianna Huffington. “What we eat affects everything else — our sleep, our stress, how much we move, and how we feel.”
