Amazon teams up with Saks Fifth Avenue to launch a luxury storefront

Amazon has launched a luxury storefront called Luxury Stores at Amazon, which features high-end brands’ apparel curated by Saks Fifth Avenue.

The new e-commerce storefront features a selection of ready-to-wear apparel, accessories, handbags, shoes, and beauty products.

Some of the luxury brands, include Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, and Stella McCartney. More are set to roll out in the upcoming months.

Amazon aims to expand its customer reach by tapping into the luxury shoppers’ market in collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue.

Jenny Freshwater, Vice President of Amazon Fashion, Fitness, and Creators, said, “This collaboration with Saks furthers Amazon’s commitment to supporting the luxury industry and increasing our assortment for customers while maintaining an elevated shopping experience that meets the varying tastes of our diverse customer base.”

The new products are available on the retailer’s mobile application and website, with free shipping for US customers.

Emily Essner, President & Chief Commercial Officer at Saks Global, added, “This collaboration underscores Saks Fifth Avenue’s reputation as a leader in luxury curation, as well as our commitment to reinventing luxury shopping so that each customer’s experience is unmistakably their own.

“We are delighted to collaborate with an incredible group of forward-thinking brand partners for launch, and we look forward to expanding the selection with additional brands as we evolve the experience.”

The storefront’s launch was accompanied by an editorial campaign shot by Max Siedentopf, and a visual campaign was displayed on window installations at Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship.

Meanwhile, Saks Global, the parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue and a brand of portfolios including Neiman Marcus, is set to shut down its fulfillment center in Tennessee and will lay off around 450 employees.

It joins a growing list of retailers downsizing to stay afloat in 2025.
