Vince appoints Yuji Okumura as chief financial officer

Luxury fashion brand Vince Holding Corp has appointed Yuji Okumura as its chief financial officer, effective April 14.

Okumura has been serving as interim CFO since March and has been with the company in financial leadership roles since 2018.

His promotion follows the departure of former CFO John Szczepanski, who held the role for just over a year.

Okumura’s long-standing tenure at Vince includes his position as vice president and controller since 2020.

Before that, he joined the company as director of financial reporting and brought with him over a decade of experience at KPMG US in public accounting.

Brendan Hoffman, CEO of Vince, praised the appointment, highlighting Okumura’s steady leadership and financial acumen.

“Yuji’s tenure with our company, his leadership and strong financial expertise are the attributes that we need as we begin our next chapter,” he said.

“His financial discipline and insight will be invaluable as we continue to navigate a dynamic macroeconomic and consumer environment.”

The CFO transition comes as Hoffman himself recently returned to the helm of the company following its acquisition by investment firm P180, which he co-founded.

Vince is currently focused on sharpening its financial strategy and reinforcing its position in the luxury retail market amid ongoing economic uncertainty.

“I am proud to partner more closely with our executive team and work diligently with our finance organization as we remain disciplined and focused on executing on our objectives,” Okumura added.

Vince, founded in 2002, operates 44 full-price boutiques, 14 outlet locations, and a direct-to-consumer online store. Its products are also sold through high-end wholesale partners across international markets.
