Victoria’s Secret appoints Gerri Martin-Flickinger to board

Victoria’s Secret is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Gerri Martin-Flickinger to its board of directors, effective 14 September.

Martin-Flickinger brings decades of retail experience to the role, having previously worked as EVP and chief technology officer of Starbucks.

According to the business, she has extensive knowledge of driving innovation across global consumer and technology companies.

During her time at Starbucks, she managed the company’s global technology strategy and oversaw the shift into a cloud-based ecosystem to support retail operations and enterprise capabilities.

This comes after an extensive search, which the board began in May 2026 and was conducted with the assistance of a nationally recognized executive search firm.

Donna James, chair of board said: “We are thrilled to welcome Gerri to the Victoria’s Secret board. Gerri brings strong expertise at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, digital commerce, and consumer retail—capabilities that directly align with our Path to Potential strategy.

“Her proven track record of leveraging technology to deepen customer engagement, accelerate omnichannel innovation, strengthen cybersecurity, and drive business transformation will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategy and create value for shareholders.”

This move comes after the recent appointment of a new chief technology officer, Adrian Butler, to the Victoria’s Secret executive team.

Martin-Flickinger added, “I’m honored to join the Board at such an exciting time in the company’s evolution.

“I look forward to working with the leadership team and contributing my expertise to help advance the Path to Potential strategy and create long-term value.”

The business aims to prepare its company for the next stage of growth with the recent appointments, and the board will now compromise of ten directors from 14 September onwards.
