Costco Wholesale Corp. is expanding its Instacart-powered same-day delivery service into Europe, launching dedicated delivery websites in France and Spain.
The rollout marks Costco’s first same-day delivery sites in the two countries and will initially cover all Costco locations in both markets.
In France, delivery will include the Paris metropolitan area and Mulhouse, while service in Spain will span cities including Bilbao, Madrid, Seville and Zaragoza.
Costco members in France and Spain can now place orders directly through the retailer’s websites, with same-day fulfillment from local warehouses.
The delivery model in each country will comply with local laws and market conditions, with Instacart working alongside regional partners to handle picking, packing and delivery.
Members will receive same-as-in-store pricing, along with a flat service fee per order.
Costco first partnered with Instacart in 2020 to offer same-day delivery in the U.S. and Canada, and added curbside pickup at select locations in 2021.
In 2025, Costco expanded services on sameday.costco.com, its Instacart-based platform, including a no-rush delivery option that allows members to save by choosing flexible delivery windows.
“Online ordering and delivery gives members in France and Spain greater flexibility in how they shop Costco’s assortment,” said Pierre Riel, executive vice president of Costco Wholesale’s international division.
“It’s another step in making Costco easier to access while continuing to deliver the value, quality and service our members expect.”
Instacart CEO and chair Chris Rogers said the expansion reflects the strength of the company’s enterprise e-commerce platform and opens the door to broader global growth.
“This marks a new chapter as we bring our grocery industry expertise to more international markets,” he said.
