Walmart expands fuel and convenience network with over 45 new locations

Walmart is growing its fuel and convenience business with plans to open or remodel more than 45 stations across the US this year.

The expansion will bring the large-scale retailer’s total number of fuel and convenience locations to over 450, spanning 34 states.

The company currently operates more than 400 fuel stations, offering gas alongside a selection of snacks and beverages.

Walmart+ members can also access additional savings of up to 10 cents per gallon as part of their subscription benefits.

Dave DeSerio, Walmart US’s vice president of fuel and convenience, highlighted the company’s ongoing investment in physical locations.

“We’re continuing to invest in our nationwide, physical store footprint. By adding dozens of fuel and convenience stations this year, we are bringing even more value to our customers,” he said.

“Customers shop Walmart for our everyday low prices and convenience offerings, and fuel stations are another example of us responding to our customer and member needs.”

With this expansion, Walmart continues to strengthen its presence in the fuel and convenience sector, aiming to enhance accessibility and affordability for its customers nationwide.
