Pinterest has appointed former Amazon executive James Dibbo as the next chief financial officer, effective from 26 October 2026.
He will report directly to Bill Ready, Pinterest’s CEO, and will lead the company’s global finance organization across accounting, FP&A, investor relations, treasury, tax, business, and corporate development.
He joined the business from Amazon, where he most recently served as VP and chief financial officer for global entertainment, advertising, and corporate development.
As part of his prior position, he oversaw the financial department for businesses including Amazon Ads, Prime Video, and Amazon MGM Studios.
During his tenure at the e-commerce platform, Dibbo also worked as CFO of worldwide consumer and CFO of North American consumer, where he helped to scale global operations, strengthen profitability, and build the systems.
According to the business, the former Amazon executive brings broad experience that scales across global consumer, media, shopping, and advertising businesses.
He succeeds Julia Brau Donnelly, who will exit the role of Pinterest’s CFO effective on October 26 but will remain in an advisory role to ensure an orderly handover.
