Vans and SZA launch popup at NYC Fashion Week

Vans has unveiled a pop-up at New York Fashion Week that showcases its exclusive collaboration with the brand’s artistic director and singer, SZA.

This pop-up was designed as an immersive extension of Vans and SZA’s upcoming collection with themes, sensory references, and visual storytelling that informed the collaboration.

The installation will be open to the public on 10 and 11 September at 260 Bowery, New York, NY 10002, offering a first look at the design concept behind the collection Vansza.

According to the business, the new line was developed to reflect the artist’s creativity with footwear and apparel through expressive designs. This comes ahead of the collection’s launch on 22 October and its full campaign debut.

SZA said: “This collection is really a reflection of how I live and what inspires me every day. I wanted to create pieces that feel comfortable, functional, and expressive, whether you’re on a trail, in the city, or discovering something new about yourself.

“Working with Vans gave me the freedom to explore ideas rooted in creativity, curiosity, and play, and my hope is that people feel inspired to step outside their comfort zone, trust their instincts, and have fun making something uniquely their own.”

At the center of the assortment is the Vansza LX Tabi Hiker which introduces an entirely new design to the lineup and is created for outdoor functionality according to the business.

Additionally, some of the footwear collection is a transformation of the classic sneakers with custom detailing. As part of the offer, there is an apparel line as well, which will act as a complimentary piece to the footwear.

The first drop is set to launch on 22 October at retail stores and on the brand’s website, with the second part of the collection arriving on 8 April 2027.

This move is part of the brand’s strategy to boost sales and visibility by leveraging a culturally relevant figure to promote Vans.
