Urban Outfitters sees record-breaking results in Q2

Urban Outfitters posted a strong performance in its second quarter ended on 31 July, with net sales increasing by 10.4 per cent to a record $1.66bn year-on-year.

The business reported an adjusted net income of $149.3m, and the company’s adjusted EPS was $1.72 in Q2.

Urban Outfitters’ retail segment net sales went up by 8 per cent compared to the same period last year to $1.39bn.

According to the business, the increase in the segment was driven by high-single-digit positive growth within digital channel sales and mid-single-digit positive growth within retail store sales.

During the second quarter the company’s gross profit significantly rose by 27.4 per cent year-over-year to $721.6m.

The business posted a strong 18.6 per cent growth in wholesale segment net sales, which was driven by a 19.2 per cent growth in FP Group activity.



Same-store net sales at FP Group, Urban Outfitters, and Anthropologie grew by 10 per cent, 8.4 per cent, and 3 per cent, respectively, in the second quarter.

The company’s subscription segment, Nuuly’s, net sales surged by 28.6 per cent to $179m, which was boosted by a 30.4 per cent rise in active subscribers in the reported quarter compared to last year. The brand had a standout performance, which boosted the overall financial results within the quarter.

The company’s total net sales for the first six months ended on 31 July, 2026, soared by 10.9 per cent year-over-year to a record $3.14bn. Additionally, total and comparable retail segment sales went up by 8 per cent and 9 per cent respectively in the first half.

Richard A. Hayne, CEO of Urban Outfitters said: “We are pleased to report our highest adjusted profit quarter in company history, marking our eighth consecutive quarter of record sales and profits.

“These results were driven by positive retail segment ‘comps’ at every brand and continued double-digit growth in our wholesale and subscription segments.

 “Our customers continue to respond favorably to our fashion assortments. This gives us confidence in Urbn’s ongoing success.”
