Saks Global taps former Neiman Marcus executive Cheryl Han

Saks Global has brought back Cheryl Han in a newly created dual role overseeing marketing and e-commerce, as the luxury department store group works through bankruptcy and reshapes its leadership team.

Han has been named chief marketing and digital officer, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategy and execution, as well as Saks Global’s e-commerce businesses, the company confirmed Thursday.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryl Han as chief marketing and digital officer of Saks Global as we continue to take decisive steps to position the company for sustainable, profitable growth,” a Saks Global spokesperson said.

“This newly created position brings two important pillars together under one leader and reflects the critical role that marketing and digital play in driving sales and customer engagement across all channels.”

The move marks a return for Han, who left Saks Global in August 2025, just months after joining its leadership team following the $2.7 billion acquisition of Neiman Marcus Group, which closed in late December 2024.

Han is a longtime Neiman Marcus Group executive, as is newly appointed Saks Global CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck.

During her tenure at Neiman Marcus, Han served as chief digital officer and previously oversaw e-commerce and customer strategy at Bergdorf Goodman.

Saks Global has experienced significant leadership turnover since the acquisition closed, with multiple executives changing roles or exiting throughout 2025. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Jan. 14, 2026.

Han’s remit comes amid structural complexity across Saks’ digital operations. In 2021, Saks Fifth Avenue spun off the e-commerce operations of its full-line and off-price banners from its brick-and-mortar business.

Those digital businesses are part of Saks Global’s Chapter 11 process but operate under a separate chief restructuring officer.

Last month, Saks Global announced plans to liquidate its off-price e-commerce business and close nearly 60 Saks Off 5th stores, leaving roughly a dozen locations open to sell excess inventory from its full-price banners.
