Target has announced the addition of 10,000 new products in its stores and online platform as it launched its summer merchandise offerings.
The retail giant will also begin a summer sale from May 15 to May 26 and launch a number of giveaways and discounts in the month of June.
Target will add a new product assortment of swimwear, outdoor entertainment, snacks, beauty, home, and other products.
The products are priced between $1 and $20, aimed to help shoppers ease the strain of increasing economic pressures. Additionally, the retail giant will offer coastal-themed installations within its stores.
Rick Gomez, EVP and chief commercial officer, Target, said: “Millions of families have been counting down the days to summer, and the Target team is excited to help them make the most of the season.
“With more than 10,000 new items across our assortment and many starting at just $1, we have something for every celebration — and it’s all fresh, fun, inspiring, and incredibly affordable.”
The increase in product assortment aligns with the retailer’s strategy to drive $15 billion in sales growth by 2030 by meeting various customers’ needs.
Brian Cornell, CEO of Target, commented: “Shoppers continue to seek differentiated options and distinctive shopping experiences without sacrificing value, and Target has the scale, strategy, and capabilities to support all the ways consumers shop and engage with brands.”
Meanwhile, Target reported solid earnings in the fourth quarter of 2024 but predicted a modest outlook for the upcoming year, citing falling consumer sentiment and additional pressure from tariffs.
