Dollar Tree appoints Roxanne Weng as new Chief Supply Chain Officer

Dollar Tree has announced that the current Chief Supply Chain Officer Mike Kindy will depart from the role and will be succeeded by Roxanne Weng, a former Walgreens executive.

Kindy joined the company in May 2023, after serving at rival discount retailer Dollar General.

Weng brings decades of experience to the role, having previously served as Uline’s vice president of creative operations and has worked at Walgreens for over 30 years.

Mike Creedon, Dollar Tree’s CEO said, “With three decades of distinguished leadership across supply chain strategy, logistics optimization, and distribution network management, her proven expertise aligns perfectly with the Dollar Tree growth trajectory.”

The latest appointment follows a number of changes made by the company over the past few months.

Weng added, “I am honored to join the incredible team at Dollar Tree. I look forward to driving industry-leading initiatives to ensure our supply chain network operates at the highest standards so our stores remain consistently and reliably stocked to delight our customers every day.”

Recently, Dollar Tree sold off Family Dollar in a $1 billion deal to private-equity firms Brigade Capital Management and Macellum Capital Management.

After a strategic review of the business, the company culminated in the decision to divest the brand.

In March, the discount retailer named Stewart Glendinning as its new chief financial officer as part of its leadership reshuffle.

The retailer was also part of the top retailers in the US, alongside Amazon and Costco, according to data from a recent survey.
