Birkenstock opens its 10th US store in Nashville

Birkenstock is expanding its direct-to-consumer footprint with the launch of a new retail location in Nashville, Tennessee.

This opening marks the German footwear retailer’s 10th location in the US.

David Kahan, president of Birkenstock Americas, said: “Expanding into Nashville, a city renowned for its creativity and individuality, is an exciting moment for Birkenstock.

“With a community that values authenticity and craftsmanship, we couldn’t imagine a better place to continue growing our brand.”

Birkenstock’s new location offers men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear, including sandals, sneakers, clogs, shoes, and boots.

The interior design features elements of Birkenstock’s footwear, with cork, leather, and felt.

As part of the store’s debut, the company hosted a launch event on 27 March, offering limited-edition gifts to mark the occasion.

The new location aligns with the company’s goals to expand its fleet by 50% in 2025, having previously opened 20 new stores in 2024.

The company continues to expand its global retail presence, with a new store set to open in Paris, France.

The announcement comes on the heels of strong financial results for the latest quarter, with revenue climbing 21% to approximately $474 million.

Wholesale revenue jumped by 26%, while direct-to-consumer sales saw an 18% increase. Looking ahead, Birkenstock forecasts revenue growth of 15% to 17% for the upcoming fiscal year.

The Germany-based footwear brand has invested €80 million in store renovations and enhancements to its supply chain capabilities.

Headquartered in Linz am Rhein, Birkenstock operates internationally, with stores across the US and Canada, Europe, South America and Asia.
