Uniqlo to support Feeding America with 2 million meals in 2025

Uniqlo has teamed up with Feeding America to provide the equivalent of 2 million meals to local food banks across the US in 2025.

The retailer has also pledged to donate at least $200,000 to the organization by the end of the year.

A contribution of $150,000 will be made upfront, with the remaining $50,000 raised through in-store donations from customers during key activation periods.

These donations will be collected via the PIN pad during transactions and Uniqlo employees will also volunteer at food banks throughout the year.

Jean Shein, global director of sustainability at Uniqlo, commented: “Our partnership with Feeding America underscores our mission to make a positive difference in the communities we serve.

“By contributing the equivalent of 2 million meals, we aim to bring tangible relief to people who need it most and shine a light on the importance of collective action.”

The Uniqlo-Feeding America partnership started after the Maui wildfires in August 2023.

In response, Uniqlo activated its in-store donation function at the point of sale, raising $68,897 for the Maui Food Bank through Feeding America. The retailer then matched this amount in full.

Feeding America’s network includes over 200 food banks and more than 60,000 food pantries and meal programs, working to combat food insecurity and help millions of people in need across the US.
