Levi’s has announced the appointment of former Skechers executive John Vandemore as the EVP and CFO, effective on 1 November onwards.
He joined the fashion retailer from Skechers, where he worked as CFO for nine years and managed the brand’s global financial organization.
According to the business, during his tenure, Skechers grew to become one of the world’s largest footwear brands with a presence in over 180 countries across wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.
He has brought over 25 years of experience to the position across financial leadership positions within global consumer, retail, and entertainment businesses.
Earlier this year in April, the company announced plans for the EVP and chief financial & growth officer Harmit Singh’s retirement from the business after a planned transition period.
Singh will work in his current role as CFO until Vandemore joins the company and will remain within the business as a special advisor until 30 November, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition.
Michelle Gass, president and CEO of Levi’s said: “We are thrilled to welcome John at a pivotal moment for our company.
“We are building a more direct-to-consumer business, unlocking the full potential of the Levi’s brand and transforming Levi’s into the world’s leading denim lifestyle retailer.
“John’s deep financial, operational, and consumer experience, combined with his proven ability to help global brands scale and grow profitably, makes him the ideal partner to help us realize our ambition of becoming a $10bn company.”
This move comes as the business is strengthening its executive leadership team to prepare for its next phase of growth.
