Amazon has announced plans to roll out its same-day and next-day Prime delivery services to over 4,000 additional small cities and rural areas across the US by the end of 2025, accelerating its efforts to broaden domestic reach and boost Prime membership growth.
The move builds on Amazon’s earlier pledge to invest over $4 billion to expand its rural delivery network through 2026.
The company said faster delivery options in these regions have already led to more frequent orders and increased demand for everyday essentials.
With more than 200 million paid Prime members worldwide, Amazon sees the program as a key growth driver.
To strengthen Prime’s performance, the company has not only expanded its geographic coverage but also introduced targeted discounts aimed at attracting younger shoppers.
The rural delivery push underscores Amazon’s strategy to tap into underserved markets, ensuring its logistics infrastructure keeps pace with rising consumer expectations in both urban and non-urban areas.
