Amazon is expanding its collection of products on its luxury storefront by teaming up with Rebag to sell secondhand handbags.
Rebag is set to offer a collection of around 30,000 handbags, jewelry, and watches on Amazon’s luxury storefront.
The partnership is part of Amazon’s broader business strategy to make luxury thrifted products more accessible for consumers.
Charles Gorra, CEO & Founder of Rebag, said: “Rebag is thrilled to work with Luxury Stores at Amazon and to redefine how customers shop for pre-owned luxury.
“This collaboration enables us to connect with a broader audience and meet the growing demand for sustainable luxury fashion in a way that’s convenient and trustworthy.”
According to the company, the collection will feature major luxury labels such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Cartier.
The news comes on the heels of its previous partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue.
In May the e-commerce giant teamed up with Saks Fifth Avenue to launch a luxury online storefront to expand its customer base by introducing a collection of high-end branded apparel and accessories.
Jenny Freshwater, Vice President of Amazon Fashion, Fitness, and Creators, said at the time: “This collaboration with Saks furthers Amazon’s commitment to supporting the luxury industry and increasing our assortment for customers while maintaining an elevated shopping experience that meets the varying tastes of our diverse customer base.”
Another major retailer collaborating with Amazon is Nike, which is set to resume direct sales on the platform as it aims to streamline its distribution.
