Foot Locker taps DoorDash for on-demand delivery capability

Foot Locker has partnered with DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery of footwear, apparel and accessories via the DoorDash app, expanding its reach into rapid retail fulfillment.

The deal brings products from Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports onto the DoorDash Marketplace, tapping into a platform where more than 30% of monthly active users already shop across retail and grocery categories.

The partnership reflects a broader push by retailers to meet demand for speed and convenience, with on-demand delivery increasingly becoming a standard offering.

For Foot Locker, it adds another customer touchpoint as the business works through an ongoing turnaround following its acquisition by Dick’s Sporting Goods.

While the move improves accessibility and aligns with evolving consumer expectations, analysts view it as incremental rather than transformational.

It strengthens Foot Locker’s presence in the quick-commerce channel, but is unlikely to materially shift its performance in the near term.

The retailer continues to refine its strategy under new ownership, including slowing store closures, investing in revamped “Fast Break” concepts, and rebuilding brand partnerships as it looks to regain relevance in a competitive athleticwear market.
