Matt Drzewicki appointed SVP of Target’s media network Roundel

Matt Drzewicki has been named as the new SVP of Target’s retail media network Roundel, effective on June 1, after serving as interim SVP.

The appointment follows the promotion of the team’s former SVP Sarah Travis to EVP and Chief Digital and Revenue Officer.

He brings years of experience to the role, having previously worked in sales and marketing at Google for 10 years and spent 12 years in sales and advertising roles.

Drzewicki said: “I’m thrilled to step into this new role with Roundel and continue working with our amazing team.

“I’m excited to lead Roundel into its next chapter in close collaboration with our strategic partners, while also expanding and developing new partnerships to continue innovating in the retail media landscape.”

Moving forward, Drzewicki will be in charge of leading initiatives to increase profitability for the media network. He will be responsible for overseeing operations for the media team and driving a growth plan of doubling the size of the media business within five years.

The media network plans to build its data collaboration capabilities by utilizing Target’s third-party data and real-time signals to create more effective campaigns.

Meanwhile, Target has been facing trouble as it deals with the impact of customer worries over tariffs and backlash for its changes to its DEI policies. The retail giant reported a weak performance in the first quarter of 2025.

As part of its turnaround strategy, Target is trying to ramp up its digital strategies as it recovers, with new features added to its Target 360 membership program.
