Batteries Plus kicks off 2025 with new franchise deals and store openings

Batteries Plus is off to a strong start in 2025, securing 17 new franchise agreements and launching eight new stores during the first quarter.

The specialty retailer, known for batteries, lighting solutions, and device repairs, is continuing its nationwide growth push, with plans to establish a presence in every US state by the end of the year.

Among the latest deals, seven were signed by franchisees new to the business.

The newly opened stores are located in Arkansas, Georgia (two), Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, South Carolina and Texas.

Further developments are expected in states including Florida, Hawaii, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey and Texas.

A notable agreement will see Batteries Plus enter Hawaii for the first time, while other contracts support further expansion in existing high-growth markets such as Florida and Texas.

The company now has more than 800 stores open or in development across the country.

“This strong start to 2025 reflects the continued demand for our products, services, expertise, and franchise opportunity across the country and beyond,” said Victor Daher, VP of global franchise development at Batteries Plus.

“From new franchisees entering our system to seasoned operators expanding their portfolios, entrepreneurs continue to see Batteries Plus as a stable, high-growth investment backed by innovation, support, and strong unit-level economics.”

Established in 1988 and based in Hartland, Wisconsin, the retailer serves both consumer and commercial customers.

In addition to batteries and lighting, it provides smartphone repair, key cutting, and car key replacement and programming.
